Claire Kemp #650801

It was in Turkey, in 2003, when Claire got hooked on scuba. She qualified as a PADI Open Water diver and returned to theIsland to become a SAA club diver too. Claire has visited all the same diving hotspots as Barry, as well as the Dominican Republic and Gibraltar. Together they have dived many IoW sites and braved the cold at Vobster Quay with us.

Claire is in love with nudibrancs (and Barry!) and you will normally find her snap-happy next to one or the other when diving. In the future, Claire would like to take part in a Madagascar Research Project and learn how to use a rebreather. She enjoys teaching younger people to dive as she loves to see their big smiles as they take their first underwater breaths. Her best dives ever include the IW wreck U1195 and diving on Homestead Reef in Whakatane, NZ.
